On 15 July, the Ministry of Strategic Industries presented samples of Ukrainian-manufactured unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to a high-level American delegation.
The delegation, led by U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, was accompanied by Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, and Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Strategic Issues, Oleksandr Kamyshin.
"We are sincerely grateful to the United States, our strategic partner, for the support in armaments that we receive to counter the enemy. Today, we showcased unmanned technologies that have become a response to challenges no modern army in the world has faced. This is a priority area for attracting foreign investment to scale up production, as these weapons are currently being widely used on the frontline," said Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
"This is a weapon capable of disrupting the enemy's logistics and production infrastructure while protecting the lives of our people. And this is serial production under wartime conditions. Ukrainian weaponry today is not only a tool for our defence but also a strategic component of the security of the entire democratic world," said Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin.
The distinguished guests were shown approximately 30 items, including samples of tactical, operational-tactical, and strategic UAVs, kamikaze drones, reconnaissance drones, interceptors, maritime, and other aerial vehicles, which are currently being widely and effectively used by Ukraine's Defence Forces on the battlefield.
Among the items presented was a jointly developed American-Ukrainian interceptor for aerial targets, including Shahed drones. This product already has state contracts and boasts over 500 confirmed successful engagements of aerial targets.
