The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another enemy agent in Kherson. On orders from russia's federal security service, he adjusted russian air strikes and artillery attacks from the left bank of the region on the city.
According to SSU cyber units, the perpetrator used a chatbot administered by the russian special services to direct enemy fire.
The investigation established that the aggressor's accomplice is a 25-year-old local unemployed man who was waiting for complete occupation of southern Ukraine. He was recruited by the FSB through Telegram channels, where he left his pro-russian comments.
His main tasks included identifying and transmitting the geolocations of temporary bases of the Defense Forces, as well as energy facilities.
At the same time, the traitor tracked the locations of sites hit by the enemy and consequences of these strikes and sent this data to the russian special services.
The SSU uncovered the agent and detained him.
Action was taken to protect the locations of the Defense Forces and energy facilities.
During the search of the suspect's home, the investigators seized two laptops and six phones with SIM cards from different operators, which he used to register fake accounts to hide his work for russia.
The detainee has been notified of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
