Based on the investigation by the Security Service, an enemy agent who committed acts of sabotage in Dnipropetrovsk region has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. On russia's orders, the perpetrator burned cars belonging to the Defense Forces and energy facilities on Ukrainian railways.
The investigation established that the aggressor's task was carried out by a 32-year-old local unemployed man, recruited by the occupiers through a Telegram channel offering easy money.
In the autumn of 2024, the individual set fire to two relay cabinets on the railway and a Multivan belonging to military servicemen.
To commit the crimes, the agent used flammable mixtures and recorded the fires on camera to 'report' to russian special services.
The SSU caught the arsonist red-handed as he was trying to destroy another Armed Forces vehicle in Dnipro.
At the scene, the suspect was found with arson tools and a phone he used to contact the russian handlers who ordered the sabotage.
Based on the evidence collected by SSU investigators, the court found the accused guilty under three Articles of the CCU:
- 113.2 (sabotage, committed under martial law);

- 194.2 (intentional damage to property by arson).
The investigation was carried out by SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region in cooperation with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
