In Kharkiv, the Security Service has detained another agent of russia's federal security service, who adjusted enemy air strikes on the city.
The perpetrator is a local unemployed woman. She came to the attention of the occupiers when she called on social media for creation of so-called 'buffer zones' in Ukraine.
After recruitment via Telegram, the asset was given a list of geolocations that to be checked and described in detail.
The agent established that the coordinates corresponded to the locations of Defense Forces units and began to reconnoiter the number of personnel and technical equipment present at the sites.
The SSU identified the traitor immediately after her recruitment. This allowed to document her every move and apprehend her at her home.
Simultaneously, action was taken to protect the locations of Ukrainian troops.
Computer equipment and a phone with evidence of her work for the FSB were seized during the search of her home.
In addition, a linguistic examination initiated by the SSU confirmed the woman's subversive activities when she publicly disseminated kremlin's propaganda.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of suspicion under three Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 110.1 (encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine);
- 436-2.2 (justification of russia's armed aggression against Ukraine).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Kharkiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
