The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an enemy agent who adjusted ruscist massive air strikes on Ukraine's capital.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator was acting on orders from russia's federal security service, and his main task was to find and pass to the enemy the coordinates of air defense systems and mobile air defense teams defending Kyiv.

Using this data, the russians wanted to first destroy Ukraine's air defenses and then launch an unhindered strike on the city's civilian infrastructure.

The aggressor's accomplice turned out to be a 41-year-old warehouse worker at a local enterprise, whom the occupiers recruited through the banned social network VKontakte.

Following the FSB's instructions, their asset went out after the air raid siren sounded to track the locations of mobile firing groups and air defense systems protecting the sky over Kyiv region.

If the agent identified such units, he was to report this to his handler in order to launch russian strikes against them.

The SSU uncovered the traitor at an early stage of his reconnaissance activities and detained him while he was spying near a base of Ukrainian defenders.

A mobile phone with evidence of his work for the FSB was seized from the suspect at the scene.

While documenting the crime, action was taken to protect the locations of the Defense Forces.

SSU investigators notified the detainee of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
