President Gitanas Nausėda continues his working visit to Ukraine. On Thursday, the President visited Bucha, Irpin, Moshchun, and Horenka - towns near Kyiv that were devastated by the Russian army at the beginning of the invasion and are now being actively rebuilt.

In Moshchun, where the fierce and decisive battle for Kyiv took place, the President paid tribute to those who gave their lives for the freedom of Ukraine. In Irpin, Gitanas Nausėda opened a kindergarten, Rūta, renovated with Lithuanian funds.

"This is a symbol of support by Lithuania and its people to Ukraine and the faith we have in the future of this country. I visited Irpin when the invaders had just been driven out. Now, as the war continues, reconstruction work is underway. The territories liberated by Ukraine are rising from the ashes, proving their invincibility," the President said.

In Bucha - a city that stands as a symbol of Russian war crimes - the Lithuanian leader met with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andriy Kostin, to discuss international efforts aimed at bringing the aggressor to justice.

"This place carries painful memories of the Russian army's brutality and horrific war crimes. What happened in Bucha and other towns and cities will not be forgotten - for every crime committed and every order to kill, there will be accountability. I hope that the Special Tribunal will be established very soon and that Russian war criminals will be brought to justice," the President said.
