Russian Armed Forces units continue to repel Ukrainian attacks in Zaporozhye direction
14.06.2023
The fighting takes place near Orekhov in Zaporozhye direction, where the Russian Armed Forces servicemen daily repel Ukrainian nationalists' offensive.
Round the clock, Tornado-G MLRS and Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems of Vostok Group of Forces do their duty in the special military operation zone.
Southern MD's 58th Combines-Arms Army go against Ukrainian artillery units with weaponry of almost the same range. Only one rule can be applied here - the one who locates and gets the target wins.
In addition to that, it is crucial to acquire exact location of targets, control the situation in the mission area and keep your wits about you, when enemy shells fall near your position.
A commander of that particular Msta-S artillery system named his artillery piece Brunhilde for stubbornness and unwavering spirit. Over the course of the special military operation, his artillery system managed to survive more than a dozen strikes near its position. The system is still in service.
When the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to breach Russian defence line, the artillerymen stopped the enemy at a distant approach. The servicemen hit all the designated targets directly, destroying armoured fighting vehicles, howitzers and ammunition depots. The Russian troops fire roundabout' method thwarted the Ukrainian militants' offensive and disrupted reserve rotations at the line of contact.
