Ukraine pressing South Korea for weapons supplies

Tehran, IRNA -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged South Korea to provide military equipment such as anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine amid a conflict with Russia.
"I know there are many limitations regarding weapons support, but those principles should not be applied to defense systems and equipment for protecting our assets," Reuters quoted Zelenskyy as saying in an interview with South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo.
South Korea's early warning system would help defend Ukraine from Russian air raids, he claimed in the interview.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russia started a new round of air strikes against Ukraine.
Ukrainian authorities announced that debris remained after the air raids in several areas of the capital city.
