On May 25 Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas attended a distance meeting of the Ramstein Format of Ukraine's donor countries where he noted the importance of giving Ukraine the Euro-Atlantic perspective and present Lithuania's latest military assistance package.

"Our support to Ukraine is really our investment in our own resilience, deterrence and defence. Ukraine's victory is the only thing that can restore peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic space," said Minister while underscoring that Lithuania will continue being a consistent supporter of Ukraine for as long as it takes until that day.

A. Anušauskas announced that the next package of assistance Lithuania would provide to Ukraine will include drone jamming equipment, ammunition, military rations, and other types of assistance.

Minister also conveyed backing for the package of sanctions processed by the EU on evasion of sanctions via third countries. He also underscored the importance of training Ukrainian troops and the significant increase in the scope and number of instructors in the training assistance Lithuania provided. The assistance Lithuania has provided to Ukraine so far totals to nearly Eur 465 million. Besides the training, Lithuania hands over weaponry and equipment, ensures medical care and rehabilitation and payments to international funds in support of Ukraine this year
