The aggressor used MLRSs, tanks, 152 and 122mm artillery systems, 120 and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

During the past day, February 22, fired 65 rockets, 469 artillery shells and 577 mines.

As of today 12:00, the Russian occupation forces conducted 29, 25 of which involved the use of heavy weaponry.

There were no casualties.

It should be noted, that today at night the enemy fired 120 rockets at Ukrainian soldiers in Novotoshkivske from MLRS BM-21 Grad.

The Joint Forces respond adequately and open fire only at the positions of the occupants.

The Ukrainian servicemen strictly adhere to the norm of International Humanitarian Law and never shell objects of civil infrastructure.

The Joint Forces control the situation and respond adequately to potential threats from the enemy.

The Russian occupation forces continue shelling objects of civil infrastructure violating the Minsk agreements and the norms of International Humanitarian Law.

During the period from 22 February 20.00 to 23February 12.00, 2022, the Russian occupation forces conducted 39 shelling of civilian objects.

Recall that on February 22, the occupants conducted heavy shelling of settlement of Shchastia, Luhansk region, and left its civilians without heating and electricity due to stoppage of the Luhansk termal station. One shell hit residential building. No one was hurt.

Two transformers caught fire in Luhansk thermal station. The fire cannot be quenched due to the constant combat actions.

The water station electricity supply was damaged in the town of Zolote-3. A repairing works cannot start due to the tense situation.

Because of this, water supply to the central part of Popasna, Severodonetsk region, will be temporarily suspended. In total 3312 people are left without water.

In particular, a local school, a kindergarten, clinic and other objects of social infrastructure are left without water supply. All these objects have 2-4 tons water reservoirs; some have active water well on their territories.

Our servicemen supply the settlements with drinking water and help civilians to remedy the effects of heavy shelling by Russian occupation forces.

During the last night, 13 residential buildings were damaged in the settlements of Berdianske, Triohizbenka and Mariinka.

In Mariinka, a man, born 1972, was injured.

No civilians were killed, the information is continuously updating.

Due to the sharp deterioration of the security situation, the Joint Forces Command decided to temporarily restrict from 06:00 February 23, 2022, visits by representatives of humanitarian and volunteer organizations the Joint Forces Operation area and settlements located in within a ten-kilometre strip along the line of contact, with the exception of the activities of international organizations carrying out the transfer (delivery) of humanitarian aid.

During the last seven days, 245 shelling of civil objects in the settlements of Luhansk and Donetsk regions were recorded.

2 residential buildings were destroyed,

75 civilian buildings were damaged,

4 educational establishments were damaged,

4 cars and a garage were damaged,

13 objects of important infrastructure were damaged, 1 religious object and 1 shop, a bridge between two settlements is destroyed,

1 civilian was killed,

3 civilians were wounded and 3 civilians suffered concussions.

42 families were evacuated, including 30 children and 15 toddlers.

The monitoring group of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Control and Coordination Centre is verifying the consequences of the shelling, during which the facts of ceasefire violations are established. Photo materials of 15 cases were sent together with the Note of the Commission of the OSCE Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.

The Joint Forces retain full control over the situation and continue accomplishing their combat mission of defeating and deterring the Russian armed aggression.
