Antonov Concern Leaves Russian-Ukrainian Aircraft Venture

According to reports, Ukrainian government ordered the Antonov aircraft maker to cease business contacts with the UAC-Antonov joint Russian-Ukrainian venture.

KIEV (Sputnik) – The Ukrainian government said Monday it had ordered the Antonov aircraft maker to cease business contacts with the UAC-Antonov joint Russian-Ukrainian venture.

'Agree with a proposal by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the Antonov state-owned aircraft manufacturing concern to leave the UAC-Antonov LLC joint Russian-Ukrainian venture,' a decree posted on the government's website said.

The agreement on the establishment of the Ukrainian-Russian joint venture was signed in Kiev on October 27, 2010.

The Antonov concern includes state-owned enterprise Antonov, the Kharkov State Aircraft Manufacturing Company and the Kiev Aircraft Repair Plant 410.
