People's governor of Ukraine's Lugansk declares state of emergency, orders full mobilization

3 May 2014, 16:26 -- People's Governor of the Lugansk region Valery Bolotov has declared a state of emergency and called for complete mobilization in the region, a pro-federalization activist told RIA Novosti Saturday.

I declare a state of emergency in the Lugansk region. I announce, first, full mobilization of male population, a curfew from 11 pm to 6 am is imposed in the Lugansk region, Bolotov's address reads.

One of the senior officers of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine told RIA Novosti earlier today that newly appointed Lugansk Police Chief Anatoliy Naumenko had offered his subordinates to evacuate their families from the city, in the face of the alleged assault with armored vehicles and artillery.
