The Turkish Air Force Began NATO Enhanced Air Policing Mission in Romania

Türkiye deployed fighter jets to Romania to participate in NATO's enhanced Air Policing mission. The Turkish detachment of 4 F-16 jets along with 71 personnel from the Air Force Command arrived at Borcea Air Base and began their mission to augment allied air policing and to safeguard NATO airspace. We appreciate our ally Romania for hosting the Turkish detachment until the end of March, 2024 and wish our staff success in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
