Taipei, Sept. 25 (CNA) A cross-party delegation of six Australian parliamentarians landed at Taoyuan International Airport Monday for a four-day visit to Taiwan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said.
The visiting group is led by Josh Wilson of the Australian Labor Party and Paul Fletcher of the Liberal Party, who both currently serve in the House of Representatives.
The Australian delegation will meet with high-ranking officials in the Taiwan government to exchange opinions on topics including Indo-Pacific regional affairs and digital and information security, and will also attend a banquet hosted by foreign minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮).
MOFA described the visit as demonstrating Australia's support for Taiwan and expressed gratitude for the country's contribution to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
