
Taiwan's Marine Corps reports two T91 assault rifle actions missing

Taipei, March 8 (CNA) Two T91 assault rifle actions were found to be missing during a weapons inventory conducted by the 99th Marine Brigade in Kaohsiung, Taiwan's Marine Corps Command said Wednesday evening, the second instance of a military unit reporting missing weapons or weapon parts in one day.
The command said it has established a task force to look into the incident and has referred the case to the judiciary system for an investigation.
All the command's units have been ordered to conduct a comprehensive inventory of firearms and munitions and step up internal management to prevent any reoccurrence, it added.
Earlier Wednesday, the Navy's Training and Doctrine Development Command said that a hand gun was found to be missing at the Marine Corps Recruit Training Center in Pingtung's Longquan area. The case is under investigation by prosecutors.
