
Polish parliamentarian group arrives in Taiwan

Taipei, Dec. 5 (CNA) A delegation of Polish lawmakers led by Waldemar Andzel, chair of Polish-Taiwanese Parliamentarian Group, arrived in Taiwan Monday for a five-day trip, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
In a press release, MOFA said that the eight-member delegation would visit the Legislative Yuan, MOFA, the National Development Council, and the Mainland Affairs Council.
In addition, the group will attend a reception hosted in their honor by Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮), who will bestow the Friendship Medal of Diplomacy on Andzel for his help in enhancing bilateral ties over the years, MOFA added.
Also in the delegation are Polish parliamentarians Violetta Porowska, Jerzy Polaczek, Cezary Grabarczyk, Jarosław Krajewski, Dobromir Sośnierz, and Agnieszka Soin, according to MOFA.
