Taipei, June 21 (CNA) A Chinese military jet was spotted entering Taiwan's airspace on Sunday, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said later that day, marking the seventh time this month that Chinese aircraft have been found entering the nation's air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
The Chengdu J-10 fighter briefly entered the country's southwest airspace at around noon, prompting Taiwanese patrol aircraft to respond with radio warnings until it was driven out of the ADIZ, the MND's Air Force Command Headquarters said in a press release.
According to the ministry, Sunday's intrusion was the seventh time in June that a Chinese military aircraft has been discovered in Taiwan's ADIZ, following similar occurrences on June 9, 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19.
