Air Force F-16 executes emergency landing at CCK airport

Taipei, Dec. 19 (CNA) An F-16 fighter jet executed an emergency landing at Taichung Ching Chuan Kang (CCK) Airport following the malfunction of one of its two electric generators, an Air Force Command official confirmed on Monday.
The airplane, based at Chiayi Air Base, was taking part in a training exercise when its monitor indicated an electric generator malfunction at 11:20 a.m.
The fighter jet landed in Taichung at 11:28 a.m, in accordance with standard operating procedure for an emergency, the official said.
