Taipei, Nov. 3 (CNA) Another victim succumbed Thursday to severe burns from the Oct. 28 arsenal explosion in Yilan County, Tri-Service General Hospital said.
This brought to three the death toll from the accident, which occurred when the arsenal was destroying a batch of flash grenades. Five military staffers and three temporary employees were injured and two of them died earlier this week.
The latest victim was 54-year-old Chang Lai-fu, one of the temporary employees, who had sustained burns over 98 percent of his body and developed multiple organ failure, the hospital said.
His condition worsened Thursday and he died shortly after he was sent home with his family's consent, the hospital said.
