First 4 Black Hawk copters for Taiwan to be built by 2013

Washington, July 10 (CNA) A United States company has been awarded a US$48.6 million contract to build four Black Hawk helicopters for Taiwan, the Department of Defense announced.
This is part of the 60 Black Hawk utility copters package that the Obama administration announced in Jan., 2010 it will provide to Taiwan.
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. in Stratford, Conn., was awarded the contract under which it will supply four "green" Black Hawk helicopters as part of the U.S. foreign military sales to Taiwan.
Manufacturing work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., with an estimated completion date of May 30, 2013.
