Taipei, Aug. 11 (CNA) The Ministry of National Defense (MND) denied Friday a media report that Libya sent delegates to review Taiwan's just-concluded Hankuang No.22 military exercise as the northern African country plans to purchase firearms from Taiwan.
The report was sheer speculation and completely unfounded, the MND said in a press statement.
The statement said the military didn't invite any Libyan military personnel to review the Hankuang drill and has not had any plan to sell weapons or military equipment to that country.
