Baqaei: Iran supports Syria's national sovereignty and territorial integrity loud and clear

Tehran, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei in a message has offered Iran's loud and clear support for Syria's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"By (mis)characterizing Israel's blatant act of aggression as 'escalating strikes on Syrian territory,' the EU disclaims even the pretense of moral integrity," Baqaei wrote on his X account on Friday.
"This is gaslighting at its finest: dressing 'complicity' up as 'diplomacy'", he added.
"Iran, with its proud history of standing firm against aggression and lawless behavior, rejects selective indignation and double standards," he stressed.
"As always, we stand by the Syrian people and support Syria's national sovereignty and territorial integrity loud and clear," he noted.
Israel has been carrying out new attacks on Syria in recent days, including the capital Damascus.
