Bashar al-Assad officially welcomes Iranian President

Tehran (ISNA) - The official welcoming ceremony of the President of Syria to Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi was held in the Presidential Palace of Syrian, the People's Palace.
Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, who arrived in Damascus on Wednesday morning on the official invitation and for a two-day trip, was officially welcomed by Bashar al-Assad at the Syrian People's Palace.
At the official welcome ceremony, the national anthems of the two countries were first played, and after the Presidents reviewed the honour guards, and then Ayatollah Raisi and Bashar al-Assad introduced their accompanying high-ranking officials to each other.
After the official welcome ceremony, the joint meeting of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries will be held under the chairmanship of the Presidents.
