Air raids in Syria will continue until full annihilation of Daesh: Al-Abadi
IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Baghdad, May 9, IRNA -- Iraqi Prime Minister Heydar Al-Abadi said late Wednesday that Iraq will keep up its air raids on Syrian soil until full annihilation of Daesh terrorist group.
In an interview with Al-Mayadeen news network, he said that all attacks are taking place in coordination with Damascus.
Iraq has delivered pinpoint blows to locations of terrorists in the Syrian territory, he reiterated.
He further pointed out that most of the Daesh leaders in Syria are Iraqi nationals who train suicide elements and dispatch them to Iraq.
Baghdad does not intend to interfere in Syria's internal affairs, but it is ready to help the country end the crisis which has been gripping it since long ago.
Iraqi forces are in full control of joint border with Syria, he said.
