Syria continues large-scale counter-terrorism military operation in al-Hajar al-Aswad

Damascus, April 28, IRNA/SANA -- The Syrian Arab Army units continued their operations against terrorist groups in al-Hajar al-Aswad area on the southern outskirts of Damascus, making further advances after destroying terrorists' fortified hotbeds and inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

SANA reporter said that the Syrian army units on Saturday continued their large-scale counter-terrorism military operation in al-Hajar al-Aswad to completely eradicate terrorists from south Damascus, advancing on several directions from al-Qadam and al-Mazniyeh neighborhoods and seizing control of a number of buildings.

The ongoing clashes between the army and the terrorist groups in the area are characterized by strength and accuracy, the reporter said, adding that the army's accurate monitoring operations for the terrorist groups' infiltration and movement's routes have made terrorists a direct target under the army's heavy fire.

The military operations will continue until control is established over the south of Damascus, and consequently securing the neighboring neighborhoods which the terrorist organization target with shells.
