Syrian army drives Daesh terrorists out of Hama, Aleppo provinces

Damascus, Feb 10, IRNA -- With liberation of scores of townships, villages and farms the presence of Daesh terrorists in Hama and Aleppo has come to an end, the Syrian army announced in a statement Friday.

The statement said the Syrian army units in cooperation with their allied forces successfully carried out their combat missions in Hama, Aleppo and Idlib provinces, liberating a large number of townships, villages and farms.
During the operations, the Abu al-Duhur military airbase was totally freed, scores of terrorists mostly foreign nationals were killed, a large amount of ammunition and weapons destroyed and several tanks, rocket launchers and munitions captured, it said.
The statement said the engineering units of the Syrian army were busy neutralizing the land mines and bombs left behind by the terrorists in the liberated areas.
It also quoted the general command of the Syrian armed forces as reaffirming its will to continue the fight against terrorist groups and foil the conspiracies of their supporters until return of peace and security to entire Syria.
