The Takfiri Daesh terrorists have executed more than 3,500 people, including hundreds of civilians, across Syria since mid last year, a monitoring group says.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Sunday that the militant group carried out 53 executions across terrorist-held areas of the Arab country in the last month alone.
The new figures bring to 3,591 the number of people executed by the Daesh terrorist group since it proclaimed a so-called "caliphate" last June.
The figures also include 930 members of the Sunni Shaitat tribe who were killed after they revolted against Daesh terrorists last year in the city of Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria.
The militant group has also executed 247 rival militants and Kurdish fighters as well as 975 Syrian government troops over the past months, the group said.
The Daesh militant group has also put to death at least 415 of its own members after accusing them of spying, it pointed out.
According to SOHR, several were executed for alleged witchcraft, sex-related offenses and collaborating with the anti-Daesh forces.
The Daesh terrorist group grew out of a vast number of al-Qaeda-linked Syrian and foreign-based militants that were sponsored and armed by US-led Western nations and their regional allies, particularly Saudi Arabia, Qatar, neighboring Turkey and Jordan as well as the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The militants have been committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious communities in Iraq and Syria, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians and others.
However, Syrian forces have recently made rapid advances against the Takfiri terrorists, who are committing heinous crimes against all ethnic and religious groups, in several parts of the crisis-hit country.
The advances of the Syrian government forces against Daesh and other terrorist groups have been expedited by the air cover provided by Russia, which began on September 30 at the request of the Damascus government.
The foreign-backed militancy in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has left over 250,000 people dead.
