TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian permanent envoy to the UN Mohammad Khazaei called on Saudi Arabia to end support for armed groups in Syria.

'All countries interfering in Syrian crisis, especially Saudi Arabia, should end financial and military support for extremist and armed groups in Syria and take them out of the country,' he said.

His remarks came after Saudi envoy to the UN has recently claimed that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) are meddling in Syrian crisis.

He further added that presence of organized terrorist groups in Syria not only hinders sending aid to Syrians, but also endangers Middle East and world's security and stability.

Khazaei also called for holding urgent talks between Syrian government officials and real representatives of Syrian opposition to end bloodshed in Syria.

'The alarming situation of Syria made by foreign interference doubled with growth of terrorist groups and membership of thousands of foreign forces from Europe to Africa has turned Syria to a training camp for extremist, violent and organized armed groups which will endanger not only Middle East's security and stability but also security of the entire world.'
