Britain reconsidering idea to arm Syria terrorists out of fears over Israel

The British government is apparently backtracking on a plan to begin sending weapons to terrorists fighting the popular government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Britain is becoming less enthusiastic to the idea because there is growing consensus that the wholesale armament once advocated would lead to those arms being used against Israeli regime in the future.

The change in idea came, experts believe, after Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists publicly announced their affiliation with al-Qaeda in Iraq terror network.

It was while that the British did what they could during March and April to convince their European allies to lift an arms embargo against Syria and allow them to start selling weapons to the terrorists to kill innocent women and children.

However, Britain cited Jabhat al-Nusra’s public merger with al-Qaeda as a big reason behind forcing a rethink and ending the claim that the terrorists are uniformly pro-West.

But, the diplomatic momentum the foreign-backed terrorists once had may be slipping away as the reality of their fighters on the ground gets more apparent.

Certain European countries including Britain and Germany have admitted that their nationals regularly visit Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East region to find a way to join terrorists in Syria.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague and the Germans have warned against the threats those nationals pose to their origin countries upon return from Syria if they could make it.
