He was speaking to IRNA at the end of a two-day meeting on Syrian National Dialogue in Tehran.

Amirabdollahian said the participants of Tehran meeting approved the formation of the committee to make preparations for the next such a meeting in Damascus.

The second and last day of the meeting on Syrian National Dialogue was held behind closed doors in the Iranian capital on Monday.

During this meeting, chaired by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, all Syrian groups expressed their points of view transparently.

The motto of the Tehran meeting on Syrian national dialogue was "No to Violence, Yes to Democracy."

According to Salehi, the Tehran meeting on Syria was planned for one day; however, it continued for the second day as it was enthusiastically welcomed by the participants.

During the first day of the meeting, some 37 Syrian officials and members of the opposition groups stressed the need to continue negotiations and voiced opposition to foreign meddling in Syria's internal affairs.

They also urged an end to the ongoing violence in Syria as well as respect for independence and territorial integrity of the country.

Over 200 Syrian politicians and representatives from the political parties in that country as well as President Bashar al-Assad's envoys attended the Tehran meeting.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been making great efforts to settle the Syrian crisis through peaceful means.
