Damascus: Armed individuals in Syria supported by al-Qaeda

Damascus, Aug 24, IRNA -- Deputy Syrian Foreign and Immigrants Affairs Minister said here Wednesday Syrian Military Forces intervention in Hamah and Hams cities were in response to armed terrorist groups that are supported by Al-Qaeda.

Feisal Meqdad made the comment in an interview with the Arabic version of Russia Today (RT) TV, adding, “Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s strategy for crisis solving today is responding positively to the people’s demand for broad reforms.”

He further emphasized, “Syria’s strong ties with Russia and China has enraged the west, and therefore the western countries have launched a united anti-Syrian campaign.”

The internet website of Syria News, too, reported Wednesday that three dead corps were found on Hamah-Hams road, fifteen kilometers to the south of Hamah, in central Syria.

The three victims had been shot dead with bullets in their faces and their chests.

The Syrian Forensic report, accordant to the Syria News, indicates that these three Syrian citizens had been kidnapped three weeks ago and tortured before being shot dead.
