RUSSIA, SYRIA DISCUSS SALES OF STRELETS AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS
MOSCOW, February 16 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Syria are discussing sales of Strelets short-range air defense systems whose deliveries are not subject to any international restrictions, runs the statement of the information and PR department of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The statement also reads, "the launching device of the system is fixed either on the tracked or wheeled gear and is not portable."
"No Iskander-E tactical missiles or advanced Igla-SA-18 missiles are under discussion, despite the press reports," the statement runs.
