
UAE: Saudi judiciary's rulings regarding Khashoggi murder confirm Kingdom's commitment to implementing law in all transparency and fairness

Abu Dhabi, December 23, 2019, SPA -- The United Arab Emirates affirmed that the preliminary rulings issued by the Criminal Court in Riyadh regarding the case of the murder of late citizen Jamal Khashoggi embody the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to implement the law in a transparent and fair manner, and holding all those involved in this case accountable, in procedures that are clear, credible, and in a manner that guarantees all parties their legal rights.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash stated, according to Emirates News Agency, that the Kingdom's handling of the trial of the defendants in the Jamal Khashoggi murder case confirms the independence, integrity and efficiency of the Saudi judiciary, as the procedures for the progress of the case were characterized by the speedy litigation and the achievement of justice through a fair and transparent judicial process.
He affirmed the UAE's full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its efforts aimed at the stability and security of the region, and its leadership of Arab moderation, which is the main guarantor of the region's security, stressing the rejection of any attempts to take advantage of the case of Jamal Khashoggi or to interfere in the internal affairs of the Kingdom.
