IRNA - Islamic Republic News Agency
Islamabad, Feb 10, IRNA - Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Pakistan has denied his country bought nuclear arms through Abdul Qadeer Khan`s network, Daily Time reported on Thursday. The US-based TIME magazine had alleged that Riyadh had purchased nuclear weapons from the father of Pakistan`s nuclear program. The envoy Ali Awaad Asseri said that the basic objective of this report was to tarnish the kingdom`s image and frustrate its efforts at making the region free of weapons of mass destruction, the newspaper reported.
