
South African military official visits DAFOOS in Tehran

Tehran, IRNA -- Chief of the South African National Defense Force, Rudzani Maphwanya, along with his accompanying delegation, has visited the Army Command and Staff University of Iran (DAFOOS) in Tehran.
The visiting Chief of the South African National Defense Force met and held talks with Second Brigadier General Hossein Valivand-Zamani, the Commander of DAFOOS, on Tuesday.
Valivand-Zamani expressed gratitude for South Africa's courageous and wise stance against the Israeli regime, describing it as a source of pride for himself and his colleagues.
He expressed gratitude to the government and people of South Africa for their support of the oppressed people of Gaza, hoping that this visit would mark the beginning of military relations between the two countries.
Regarding the mission of DAFOOS, he said, "This university admits students from various countries, and we hope to have student and faculty exchanges with South Africa. We look forward to welcoming students from South Africa in the new term starting in September."
For his part, General Maphwanya expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Army Command and Staff University of Iran, adding, "DAFOOS possesses highly advanced academic capabilities, and we are truly enthusiastic about fostering military cooperation with this university."
Elsewhere in his remarks, Maphwanya condemned the crimes committed by the Israeli regime, emphasizing that his country strongly denounced Israel's violations of sovereignty and aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
