On October 28, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó on the sidelines of the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
The ministers exchanged views on a wide range of practical issues related to bilateral interaction, including the energy sector. They also continued their discussions on current international issues. While addressing the Ukrainian agenda, they stressed the importance of respecting the rights of ethnic minorities, including their language and religious rights, which are systematically infringed upon by the Kiev regime. The Hungarian partners reaffirmed their readiness to provide a venue for Russian-US contacts.
