On September 24, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly session in New York.
They focused on humanitarian activities in key regional areas of focus, including the Ukraine crisis, and the situation in Gaza, Syria, and Sudan. The participants exchanged insights on the current ICRC activities in the Russian Federation.
Following talks, both parties confirmed mutual interest in continuing regular contacts and strengthening practical cooperation between Russia and the ICRC.
