On September 24, on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic Roberto Alvarez.
The meeting, conducted in a constructive and cordial atmosphere, included an exchange of views on key aspects of bilateral collaboration across political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. Both parties acknowledged a mutual interest in further enhancing the considerable potential of Russian-Dominican relations.
During an alignment of positions on pressing regional and international agenda items, the parties agreed to strengthen collaboration within the UN framework and other multilateral platforms.
