On September 11, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya on the sidelines of the 8th Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in Sochi.
The ministers discussed priorities pertaining to the development of the traditionally friendly Russian-Kuwaiti relations. They reaffirmed Moscow and Kuwait City's shared intention to promote their mutually beneficial trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian collaboration.
They also discussed in detail current international and regional issues with a focus on the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
