On August 26, at the request of the Serbian side, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

The discussion focused on key issues of the bilateral agenda, cooperation within international platforms, and the further strengthening of ties between the two countries in the spirit of strategic partnership.

Special attention was devoted to regional issues, particularly the situation in Kosovo and developments around Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The parties underscored the fundamental significance of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in advancing a settlement of the Kosovo question, as well as the necessity for all Bosnian sides to strictly observe the Dayton Accords, which establish the international legal framework governing relations between the two entities and the three constituent peoples of BiH.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in maintaining a constructive political dialogue.
