Mr Minister,
Friends,
We are delighted to meet with you. Our last engagement took place quite recently during the multilateral events in Rio de Janeiro. Today, we convene once again, this time in the Asia-Pacific region.
This meeting further confirms the global reach and strategic nature of our relations. These ties are all the more essential against the backdrop of complex and highly dynamic global developments, which necessitate our continuous dialogue in the spirit of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation, as instructed by our leaders.
Today, I look forward to discussing matters concerning the Asia-Pacific region with you. I am confident we will once again underscore the central role of ASEAN in advancing collaborative frameworks with the nations represented at these events. We will also address the SCO, where our Chinese friends currently hold the chairmanship, BRICS, the G20, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation - all of these require our sustained attention.
July 1 of this year marked the 104th anniversary of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China. I would like to extend my congratulations to all our Chinese comrades on this momentous occasion, which, as I understand, the Party has reached with a membership exceeding 100 million.
The creation of the Communist Party of China and the revolutionary struggle of the Chinese people have always enjoyed unwavering and steadfast support from Moscow. Today, our mutual solidarity continues to strengthen for the benefit of our peoples and, I have no doubt, for international relations as a whole.
