Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The leaders discussed current bilateral issues, including some practical steps aimed at strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and economy. The successful execution of the 5th INNOPROM. Central Asia International Industrial Trade Fair, held on April 28-30 in Tashkent jointly with the Russian side, was highlighted in particular.
In light of the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the leaders pointed out the special significance this holiday has for the people of both countries. Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed he would take part in the anniversary events to be held in Moscow.
