
Commanders-in-chief of Russian Land Forces and Army of People's Republic of Bangladesh hold bilateral meeting in Moscow

Today, Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces General of the Army Oleg Salyukov held a bilateral meeting with the Commander of the Army of the People's Republic of Bangladesh General Waker-Uz-Zaman, who arrived in Moscow with a military delegation.
An official part of the bilateral talks took place at the High Command of the Ground Forces, where the sides discussed military cooperation and interaction aimed at implementing projects intended to improve the combat readiness of the armed forces of the two countries.
'The People's Republic of Bangladesh is considered by the Russian Federation as one of the key states of the Central Asian region and the development of cooperation is now a priority in this area. Today, you and I will openly discuss the prospects for our cooperation and the expansion of ties. I am sure that our meeting and your visit in general will contribute to strengthening the traditionally friendly ties between our states, and will provide a new impetus to the development of military cooperation between our land forces', stressed General Oleg Salyukov, Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces, during the bilateral talks.
The commanders-in-chief reached agreements to further increase cooperation between the ground troops in various fields.
Earlier during the visit, the delegation had paid tribute to Soviet soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden, as well as a visited the Land Forces' Military Training and Research Centre 'Combined Arms Academy of the Russian Armed Forces'.
