26.03.2025 (09:00)
The Pacific Fleet's diesel-electric submarine Ufa launched Kalibr cruise missiles at sea and coastal targets from the Sea of Japan.
Before the combat exercise, the submariners covertly moved to the designated area.
The first missile successfully hit a surface target (a screen).
The second missile hit a coastal target on the Syurkum tactical field located in Khabarovsk region. The firing range was more than 1,000 kilometres.
Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Admiral Aleksandr Moiseyev thanked the crew for the successful launches.
Ships and vessels of the Pacific Fleet, aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Pacific Fleet were involved in supporting the missile fire.
For reference:
The submarine Ufa entered the service to the Russian Navy on 16 November 2022. It is the fourth in the series of six 636.3 Project submarines built for the Pacific Fleet. The submarines of this project are distinguished by the optimal combination of the acoustic discretion and range of target detection, powered by torpedo and missile weapons. Kalibr high-precision missiles are the main weapons.
The submarine has arrived at the Pacific Fleet's main base in Vladivostok by the South Sea Route in December 2024.
