Pacific Fleet's ship detachment conduct artillery fire tasks in Indian Ocean
03.03.2025 (08:30)
A detachment of the Pacific Fleet's ships comprising the corvettes Rezky, Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov and the medium sea tanker Pechenga conducted artillery fire drills in the eastern part of the Indian Ocean.
During sea crossings, the Pacific Fleet's ships practised the tasks of repelling air attacks and conducting naval combat with a detachment of mock enemy ships.
The Ka-27M helicopter was brought into the sky to survey and search for targets, and its crew gave target coordinates and adjusted the fire. During the drills, artillery crews performed day and night firing exercises with 100-mm A-190 automatic guns and 30-mm AK-630M automatic artillery systems of the ships.
As a result of the firing, all surface and air targets simulated by the ships' combat information system were hit. The ships also used the RBOC to get forces out of the area of a missile strike.
After the drills, the corvettes Rezky and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov replenished fuel supplies from the medium sea tanker Pechenga. The refuelling was carried out on the move in an astern manner in favourable weather conditions.
For reference:
