Pacific Fleet's warships complete business call at the port of Qingdao, the People's Republic of China

The large anti-submarine vessels Admiral Panteleyev and Admiral Tributs of the Pacific Fleet have completed their business call at the port of Qingdao of the People's Republic of China (PRC). After leaving the port, the ships headed for Vladivostok.

During a few days at the port, the crews took part in sports, cultural, and official events.

A delegation from the Russian side, headed by Rear Admiral Aleksandr Shvarts, met with the leadership of the city of Qingdao. The sides expressed a mutual position on further strengthening the friendly ties.

While at the port, sports events were held: Russian and Chinese sailors held basketball and tug-of-war friendlies. In addition, servicemen of the Pacific Fleet and the PLA Navy got acquainted with the weapons and combat capabilities of the ships of the patrol participants during excursions organised as part of the cross-deck exchange.

A ship detachment of the Russian and Chinese navies entered the Qingdao port of the PRC on 17 October after completing the fourth joint patrol in Asia-Pacific region. During the patrol, the ships' crews travelled more than 6,000 nautical miles, conducted a number of training exercises and carried out combat drills, including anti-submarine defence and rescue at sea.
