
Ship battle force of Pacific Fleet finishes business call at port of Georgetown in Malaysia

The ship battle force (Pacific Fleet) comprising corvettes Gromky, Rezky, and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov left the Georgetown port, Malaysia state after a friendly visit.
During the working visit, which commenced on 14 October 2024, the crews of the ships participated in commemorative events, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the death of the armoured cruiser Zhemchyug's crew which had served in the Russian Imperial Navy.
Russian sailors laid flowers and wreaths to the graves of the cruiser Zhemchyug's crew on Jerajak Island and at the Western Road Cemetery in Georgetown. Moreover, the ship captains had a number of meetings with the local authorities. The crews of the corvettes took part in cultural events.
The Pacific Fleet vessels continued to perform tasks after leaving the Georgetown port.
