
Kharbmaydon training ground hosts operational training for command of Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces

From 14 to 16 October, an operational training is being held at the Kharbmaydon training ground in Tajikistan with the command of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces, on the topic of 'Basics for preparing and conduction combat activities of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces to destroy illegal armed formations that have entered the territory of the CSTO member state'.
Representatives of the defence departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and a group of CSTO officers take part in the event. The Russian contingent is based on Central Military District personnel from the 201st military base.
The purpose of the training is to develop common approaches to the organisation of the operational composition of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces on the eve of the active phase of the Rubezh 2024 exercise to be held from 17 to 21 October.
A command post training will take place on 16 October, during which officers of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces will train in planning and preparing combat operations.
