Participants of Rubezh 2024 exercises move to Republic of Tadjikistan

Since 11 till 14 October, the formations participating in the Rugezh 2024 joint exercise with the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces conduct redeployment to the Republic of Tadjikistan.

The CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) set off from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation to the area of the drills.

The Republic of Kazakhstan presiding over the CSTO defined that this year one of the main priority of the defence cooperation is improvement of Troops (Collective Forces) operational deployment including free transit of formations.

At the Kharbmaydon training ground of Tadjikistan, the Rubezh 2024 joint exercise with Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces is held. There, the issues of preparation and conduct of fights against illegal armed formations invaded the territory of an CSTO member-state will be trained.

Great attention will be paid to the organisation of air defence for units Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces units during the redeployment, rapid deployment. Moreover, cooperation of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces command with the AD of the Tajik Air Force and Air Defence, as well as 201 military base of the Russian Armed Forces will be trained during preparation and conduct of hostilities.

The collective forces of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces established in 2001 under decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council comprises units of combat readiness equipped with modern arms and materiel.

The main mission of the Central Asian region's Collective Rapid Deployment Forces is to participate in repelling of military aggression and conduct of joint counter terrorism operations.
