Pacific Fleet's Tu-142 aircraft practise anti-submarine warfare over Sea of Okhotsk
09.10.2024
The Pacific Fleet conducted scheduled training flights to improve the coordination of Tu-142 long-range anti-submarine crews and to conduct anti-submarine warfare training with them over the Sea of Okhotsk.
The pilots performed tasks on Tu-142 aircraft based on one of the Pacific Fleet's naval airfields.
During the flights, the Tu-142 practised search operations using special standard ASW detection equipment.
In addition, the Tu-142 crews honed piloting skills in desired track flight over featureless terrain and coordinated piloting in the absence of ground-based radio air navigation facilities.
